The Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus :
When Mary was a young girl, God appeared to her and asked her to carry his son. Unwaveringly, she said, "yes, let your will be done."
Mary was also to marry a man named Joseph that she had never met before. Her message is to always stay strong in God, and do whatever he asks of you. Even when things are hard and you are too afraid, you should pray to God for strength to say yes and accept his challenges.

Mary was so devoted to God and she was always up to the challenge, even when she was afraid, because she knew God was always with her. This is why God is said to be omnipresent. She realized, at a young age, that with God, anything is possible.

When she was about 14, she was asked to carry Gods son.
Her cousin, Mary Magdaline, conceived at a very old age after asking God for so long.
Her son, Jesus was brutally beaten and killed by crucifixion (she had to live on and continue her life, though).
Her husband, Joseph, almost decided to leave her (he thought she had been with another man before they were married).
Mary ascended into heaven (body and soul).
Mary was sinless.

THE POINT?
Because Mary took on such a monumental undertaking, we should have faith that if we stay close to God and know he is always there, anything can be achieved. Even when we are literally one inch away from death, if we pray and take pride in the Lord, we will be held. Also, because Mary said yes, we should try harder to display our faith. We should say yes to church, yes to an opportunity to have a great education, yes to helping others, yes to love, and yes to what God asks us. If we pray and say yes, we can be closer to God and follow our role model, Mary.
